ROMANIA

Romanian Flag Centered around the 45th parallel of the northern hemisphere and described either as a country of the Balkans, or as a southeastern European country, Romania offers a lot of geographical contrasts.
By besides geography, no other thing can better define the spirit of romanian people than its ancient traditions and customs. The traveler will be surprised to discover that Romania is a place with a lot of legends, myths, and traditions preserved for ages. Tourists are fascinated by the old Romanian folk dances such as "calusarii", a ritual initiation dance witch reconstruct some ancient times, and by special romanian folk songs like “doina”. The architecture of the houses, the pottery and the woodcarving, the glass painting of icons and the folk masks, the musical instruments - bagpipes, flutes, fiddles - and the embroidery are all Romanian wonders born from a skill handed down from father to son for centuries. In many households, the clothes, carpets and embroideries are still handmade. Attractions: The Danube Delta (a paradise among the waters), The Carpathian Mountains (a huge amphitheatre surrounding the Transylvanian plateau, a mixture of daring peaks and deep valleys, hard rock and dark woods), The Romanian Monasteries, Dracula's Castle (Bran Castle) Peles Castle and so on.

BUCHAREST

A city of paradoxes and contrasts, Bucharest is the miraculous result of ecclesiastic architecture. From Curtea Veche – the ruins of the ancient palace built by Vlad Tepes in the 15th century – to the Orthodox churches and the Parliament Palace, built in the communist era and the second biggest building in the world after Pentagon, Bucharest exhibits its more than half a millennium old story, each century leaving its mark in a distinct and original way.
In the 30s, boulevards bordered by trees and the ‘fin de siecle’ architecture won this city the name of little Paris. Far away from the commotion of the metropolis, on the outskirts of the capital are secular woods that used to cover covered the entire Walachia o long time ago.
On the edge, the lakes mirror the mansions of the old noble families and the orthodox monasteries built in the 16-19th centuries. With a population of almost two million inhabitants, Bucharest is the most important Romanian city. Its culture results from a mixture of Eastern and Western European influences, with art galleries and nightlife pulsing in clubs and casinos.
