Dear Friends,
As LEN President it is an honor for me to welcome you to the 3rd LEN Sports Medicine Symposium.

Close attention and care for all medical aspects related to sports are fundamental to the proper running of events as well as in supporting, assisting and guiding athletes in their careers and daily practice when necessary.

These Symposiums organised by the LEN Medical Committee, and this edition in cooperation with the Romanian Society of Sports Medicine, the National Olympic Committee of Romania, and the Romanian Swimming Federation, are an active contribution to the investigation and discussion of diverse areas that make our disciplines develop and evolve.

We thank the local organisers for offering this wonderful venue, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Center, and for their hard work in delivering an event that is sure to satisfy the high expectations of all participants.
